Whether you require an in-home nurse, HHA, companion or a nursing assistant, we’ve got you covered. All this in the comfort of your own home. At Althea Nursing Service , we do a thorough interview process and all the caregivers have to pass a Level 2 and a local background check, including FBI background screenings. This helps to ensure that the person we are sending you is qualified and appropriate to your needs.

RN (REGISTERED NURSE)

This is a person who has graduated from an approved educational program for Registered Nurses. She must maintain a current Florida State license to be able to work as a Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing and evaluating the care given to the patient and reporting to the patient’s doctor. A Registered Nurse may also provide nursing services at home or in hospitals; ALF, and nursing homes.

LPN (LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE)

This person is a graduate of an approved educational program for Licensed Practical nurses. She must maintain a current Florida State license to be able to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse. A Licensed Practical Nurse operates under the direction of a Registered Nurse or a Physician and may provide nursing services in the home or a hospital, ALF or nursing home.

CNA (CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT)

This person must maintain state certification and or a graduate of a state-approved training program. The Nursing Assistant will assist you with activities of daily living such as personal care, bathing, grooming, helping with meals, remind you to take your medication, and other personal duties. They can assist you with your phone calls, writing letters and can accompany you on your favorite recreational outing. They can also accompany you to your doctor’s appointments.

HHA (HOME HEALTH AIDE)

This person must attend a state-approved 75-hour training program. The Home Health Aide will assist you with activities of daily living such as personal care, bathing, grooming, helping with meals, remind you to take your medication, and other personal duties. They can assist you with your phone calls; writing letters and can accompany you on your favorite recreational outing; accompany you to your doctor’s appointments.
